The Ladies European Tour (LET) is in Australia this week for the first of three co-sanctioned events with the WPGA Tour of Australasia on the nation’s east coast.
The Australian WPGA Championship kicks things off in Queensland on Thursday, staged this year on The Palms Course at Sanctuary Cove Golf and Country Club. The par-70 is considered a championship course rivalling some of the best golf courses in Australia. It features several water features and hazards.
This year’s tournament is a 72-hole stroke play event offering a purse of €350,000. The winner of the 2025 Australian WPGA Championship will lift the Karrie Webb Cup on Sunday 9th March.
A field of 144 players will take to the fairways just outside Gold Coast – a total split into 80 LET players, 55 WPGA players and nine invites. This number also features 37 nationalities, 33 Australians, 18 rookies and 29 LET winners.

Last year’s Order of Merit winner Chiara Tamburlini leads the field as the highest ranked player in the Rolex World Golf Rankings (65th). The Swiss star is joined by Lalla Meryem Cup winner Cara Gainer from England and home favourite Grace Kim – a one-time winner on the LPGA Tour.
Elsewhere, the highly consistent Kirsten Rudgeley will be teeing up on home soil looking for her long-awaited first victory on the LET. Other big names in the field include 2023 Order of Merit winner Trichat Cheenglab from Thailand, Belgium’s Manon De Roey and India’s Diksha Dagar. The full field can be found here.
Fitness fanatics Pauline Roussin-Bouchard and Annabell Fuller kicked things off in style this week as they took part in the Hyrox doubles race in Brisbane. Consisting of a 1km run followed by an intense workout, repeated eight times, the pair completed the challenge in a mightily impressive time of 1 hour 24 minutes and 42 seconds.
The centrepiece of the Gold Coast Festival of Golf, tickets to the 2025 Australian WPGA Championship are now available via Ticketek and are just $15 for adults, with kids 17 and under free.
Viewers around the world will be able to watch the final two rounds of the Australian WPGA Champion via their local broadcaster or on the LET website/YouTube channel. TV times and broadcast details to follow.
Following the conclusion of the event, the LET and WPGA head to Coffs Harbour for the Australian Women’s Classic. This is followed by the Ford NSW Women’s Open just south of Sydney.
