LET PARTNERS WITH UPGAME TO ENHANCE DATA ANALYTICS

The Ladies European Tour (LET) today announces that Upgame, the market leading golf analytics app, will further our goals of elevating the women’s game and enhancing digital output by providing data insights and statistical analysis for both the LET and LET Access Series (LETAS).

Under a brand-new partnership, Upgame’s unique map-based interface will integrate with the LET’s scoring system to allow players to innovatively record and analyse data like never before.

Thanks to Upgame’s smart maps feature and seamless data collection system, players can record shots and view how they have performed in relation to intended targets. In turn, both players and fans can access enhanced data points like shot patterns, benchmarks, and strokes gained analytics, all helping to enhance performance while digitally enriching the LET product around the world.

The leading data intelligence and practice tracking platform, Upgame is used globally by 40 national federations and 100+ collegiate organisations, with thousands of players and coaches utilising the app to their advantage. This includes several LET stars already, with Danish trio Nicole Broch Estrup, Smilla Tarning Sønderby, and Sofie Kibsgaard Nielsen all trusting the app, as well as English trio Meghan MacLaren, Gabriella Cowley and Amy Taylor.

In 2023, Upgame users recorded 19 victories across golf’s major tours – DP World Tour (6), Challenge Tour (6), Asian Tour (3), PGA Tour (2), LET (2). The winner of the US Amateur Championship, America’s Nick Dunlap, also trusted the app on route to claiming the prestigious title. 

After several months of testing, Upgame data will be integrated on LET platforms beginning with the Mallorca Ladies Open on 18 November 2023. Strokes gained data will be available from January 2024 onwards, with the analytics proving highly beneficial as move into another exciting season in the new year.

LET winner Broch Estrup added: “Our new deal with Upgame is highly important for developing the women’s game. There is currently a huge lack of stats in our game, so to be able to compare my numbers against my competitors more accurately is a huge help and something I look forward to.”

Kibsgaard Nielsen, winner of the 2023 LETAS Order of Merit, commented: “Upgame has given me the tools to analyse my game and I think it will help players on the LET to reach a higher level. Upgame has helped me with my blind spots and shown me specific areas of my game that needs work.”

Cowley, currently 10th in the Race to Costa del Sol, said: “Upgame is a gamechanger. I’ve been using it for a while now and it’s helped me analyse my game better and improve practice. The fact it will now be used across the LET is great. I’m looking forward to comparing myself to the rest of the field.”
