REID TURNS IN TWO-UNDER

England’s Mel Reid is one of the early movers in the third round of the AIG Women’s Open, turning in two-under-par as the sun shines at Royal Troon.

Making the cut on the mark, courtesy of a last gasp birdie on the 18th hole yesterday, Reid was made to wait on whether her nine-over-par total would be good enough to make the weekend and as it played out, the mark moved to the highest cut line in AIG Women’s Open history. Granting her a lifeline.

Undeterred by an early bogey on the 2nd hole, Reid has made gains at Nos. 5, 6 and 7 to jump 23 places already as she looks to make more Saturday moves on the back-nine.

Keep up to date with her progress HERE
