ZANUSSO THRILLED TO JOIN ITALIAN TEAMMATES ON TOUR

The Italian clique is growing on the Ladies European Tour (LET) in 2025 with not one but two rising stars joining the circuit with full cards.

Best friends Anna Zanusso and Alessia Nobilio both battled their way through two gruelling weeks at Q-School in Morocco to earn Category 12 status. The pair will now tee up alongside compatriots Alessandra Fanali and Virginia Elena Carta this season – starting at next week’s Lalla Meryem Cup.

Speaking after her success in Marrakech, Zanusso said: “I’m so happy. Q-School was two long weeks. But I played great golf. Ultimately all the hard work I put in over the past few months showed up at the right time and I’m so excited to play on the LET next year.”

The 24-year-old finished T14 in December to comfortably earn her full card for 2025. Nobilio, her Italian national team teammate, finished the week two shots back in T16.

“I was very nervous on the final day, especially the first tee shot. But I told myself to just play your game, one shot at a time, hit as many greens as possible and the putts will drop. I played very solid. I saw the leaderboard after the front nine and knew I needed to wake up. I made some putts and it happened on 16 and 17. It was a great day and great week.”

Born in Castelfranco Veneto, Italy, Zanusso had a successful amateur career across Europe and the United States. A member of the Italian National Team since 2013, she represented Italy at the European Girls’ Team Championship and the European Ladies’ Team Championship each year between 2018 and 2024, winning in 2018 and finishing runner up in 2022. Zanusso won her last amateur event, the World University Championships and finished runner up with Team Italy in 2024.

Nicknamed ‘Z’, her other standout victories include the Annika Invitational Europe (2018), the Italian International Championship (2018), the Golf Week Conference Challenge (2019), the Westbrook Invitational (2020), and the Summit League Women’s Championship (2022). She also boasts a record-equalling round of 61 at the Westbrook Invitational in 2020, a feat that tied the NCAA 18-hole record.

“I just graduated from the University of Denver,” Zanusso explains. “I did five years there. I decided to do my masters there [studying finance and business analytics] as well. Now I turned pro just this past September, joining Alessandra Fanali on Tour, with another Italian, Alesssia [Nobilio]. We played together this whole past year so I’m very excited for the two of us to join Alessandra.

All three will look to follow in the footsteps of Italian legend Diana Luna in 2025 by becoming their nation’s next LET winner.

“As a rookie I’m just going to try and enjoy it,” she continued. “Play good golf, stay in the present and enjoy it as much as possible.”

Zanusso makes her professional debut on the LET next week at the Lalla Meryem Cup in Rabat. Follow all the action throughout the 2025 season on our socials – @LETgolf on Instagram, TikTok and X, and Ladies European Tour on YouTube and Facebook.
