WOLLONGONG THE STAGE FOR FORD NSW WOMEN’S OPEN

After a nail-biting finish at the Australian Women’s Classic the Ladies European Tour (LET) and WPGA Tour of Australasia head south to Wollongong this week for the Ford NSW Women’s Open.

Wollongong Golf Club is the venue for the 15th edition of the tournament in New South Wales. The par-71 course is located one hour south of Sydney and is situated on Wollongong’s picturesque coastline.

The course has five holes adjoining the beach, with a mountain backdrop and great views of the natural landscape. Established in 1897, the club has hosted many tournaments over the years – most recently the NSW PGA Championship (2009-2011).

A total of 132 players will be teeing up in the final event of the LET’s 2025 Aussie swing; a field comprised of 80 LET stars, 30 WPGA players and 22 Golf NSW invites. This includes nine amateurs, 35 nationalities, 30 Australians and 24 LET winners.

Fresh off her victory in Coffs Harbour, Belgium’s Manon De Roey tees up once again looking to replicate her heroics before heading off to the LPGA Tour next month.

The Olympian is joined by England’s Cara Gainer – leading the 2025 Order of Merit – as well as LET winners Trichat Cheenglab from Thailand, Alice Hewson from England and Diksha Dagar from India. Click here for the full entry list.

This year marks the sixth time the NSW Women’s Open has been co-sanctioned with the LET. Past winners include Mariajo Uribe, now retired following her 2024 triumph, Momoka Kobori (2023; WPGA event), Maja Stark (2022), Julia Engstrom (2020) and two-time champ Meghan MacLaren (2018, 2019). Kobori and MacLaren are both in the field this week.

The 72-hole event starts on Thursday March 20 with the winner being crowned on Sunday March 23. The final two rounds of action will be broadcast around the world as well right here on the LET website. Full broadcast details to follow.
