WISTRON LADIES OPEN NEXT UP FOR THE LET

After a successful week in Shenzhen, the Ladies European Tour (LET) takes a trip to Taiwan for the next stop on the schedule.

This week’s sees the Wistron Ladies Open take place at Sunrise Golf and Country Club from 10-13 October.

It is the fifth edition of the tournament which began on the TLPGA in 2020 and the first time it is being co-sanctioned with the LET.

Over the last five years, there has been an incredible increase in the prize fund with the purse for the 2024 edition being USD $1 million.

A field of 108 professionals which includes 45 LET players, 45 TLPGA players and 18 invites from 23 nations will tee it up.

The tournament is a 72-hole stroke play competition and there will be a cut to the top 60 professionals and ties at the end of the second round.

Switzerland’s Chiara Tamburlini leads both the LET’s Order of Merit and Rookie of the Year competitions and will tee it up after a T3 finish in the Individual event last week.

Nine winners from the 2024 LET season will be teeing it up this week with English quartet Annabel Dimmock, Alice Hewson, Amy Taylor and Bronte Law joined by Spain’s Marta Martin, France’s Perrine Delacour, Belgium’s Manon De Roey, Singapore’s Shannon Tan and Switzerland’s Tamburlini.

Former Order of Merit winners Trichat Cheenglab of Thailand and South Africa’s Lee-Anne Pace are also both in the field this week.

Defending champion of the tournament Vivian Hou returns to try and retain her title after she recorded a one-stroke victory in 2023.

Bianca Pagdanganan of the Philippines finished as runner-up in last year’s edition and will be hoping to go one better this time around.
