After a short break the Ladies European Tour (LET) returns in two weeks for an exciting new season which sees 30 events across five different continents.
Last year saw an expansion of the LET’s illustrious winner’s circle as eight members tasted silverware for the very first time.
This circle included an incredible assemble of stars, from Mariajo Uribe winning in Australia to seal her Olympic spot to Chiara Tamburlini winning three times en route to claiming the Order of Merit.
So who will be next to join this circle and hoist maiden gold on the LET? Here are eight players to keep an eye on in 2025…
Kirsten Rudgeley
Aussie Kirsten Rudgeley was miss consistent in 2024 missing just one cut and registering six top-10s. Included in this excellent run was several near calls – most notably her playoff defeat to Chiara Tamburlini at the Lacoste Ladies Open de France – meaning the 23-year-old will be desperate to put this bed and register a first victory in 2025. Winner of the 2021 English Women’s Amateur Championship, Rudgeley has the game to do so and will be a hot favourite during her three home events in March.
Emma Spitz
Like Rudgeley, Emma Spitz had a prolific amateur career before taking her talents to the LET where she has become and ever-present towards the top of the leaderboard. The Austrian finished 14th on the Order of Merit and also had the nearest of misses losing to Alexandra Försterling in a playoff in Germany. With two seasons now under her belt and an appearance at the Olympics, expect Spitz to be competing throughout the 2025 season.
Lauren Walsh
Several Irish stars will be hitting the fairways in 2025 looking to emulate Leona Maguire and become the country’s second winner on the LET. Leading the chase will be Lauren Walsh, teeing up for her second season on Tour. Walsh enjoyed a successful rookie year finishing 18th on the Order of Merit where she registered four top-10s. The Irishwoman will no doubt be chasing silverware in 2025 as she continues to cement herself as one of the LET’s top talents.
Alessandra Fanali
Alessandra Fanali enjoyed an incredible start to 2024 leading in Kenya after three rounds before finishing runner-up to Shannon Tan. Despite some injury niggles, the Italian would continue to perform consistently throughout the campaign finishing T6 in Italy and T5 at the KPMG Women’s Irish Open – results which came either side of an Olympic debut in Paris. Now fully fit and raring to go in 2025, Fanali – alongside Virginia Elena Carta – will be looking to become the first Italian since mentor Diana Luna to win on the LET.
Gabriella Cowley
Another highly consistent player, English star Gabriella Cowley holds the record for the most wins on the Rose Ladies Series with five victories to her name. In 2025 she will be hoping to bring that winning touch to the LET as she chases her long-awaited maiden triumph. Cowley finished 35th in the season standings last time out with top-threes in South Africa and Germany. A year prior the 28-year-old had her best season to date finishing 13th in the Order of Merit. Now fully fit after some injury struggles, expect the Englishwoman to be up at the top contending in several events this year.
Cara Gainer
From one English star to another, Cara Gainer also has an argument for being the LET’s best player yet to win on Tour. Gainer will be eager to change that narrative having recovered from a wrist injury at the backend of 2023 – a year where she enjoyed an excellent campaign registering three top-fives. At 29-years-old the Englishwoman is arguably at the peak of her powers and will be as determined as anyone to become a first-time winner in 2025.
Pranavi Urs
It was a rookie year to remember for Pranavi Urs in 2024 as the young Indian registered five top-10s and contended right up until the final putt at the Helsingborg Open in Sweden. The only thing missing was a win as Urs finished 17th in the Order of Merit. At 21-years-old the Indian has a bright future and is looking to follow in the footsteps of Aditi Ashok and Diksha Dagar by becoming her nation’s next winner on Tour.
A Rookie…
If 2024 is anything to go by – a year where Q-School graduate Shannon Tan won the opening event in Kenya – we could well have a rookie as the first maiden winner in 2025. Curtis Cup winners Sara Byrne and Mimi Rhodes will be leading the charge after earning full cards in Morocco while Ecuador’s Daniela Darquea will also be a a hot favourite after topping Q-School. Elsewhere, LET Access Series (LETAS) Order of Merit winner Kajsa Arwefjäll is one to watch alongside rising stars Darcey Harry, Blanca Fernandez, Anna Foster and Annabel Wilson.
