There is no excuse for missing any golf shot during this year´s Solheim Cup. The classical duel on the course of Barseback, in the south of Sweden, can be followed throughout the world on TV and be watched live in Sweden by web-radio or web-TV this weekend.
The web-radio is produced by the Swedish Broadcasting Corporation and works excellently with an Internet-connection through a modem.
“This is the biggest web-radio production the sport channel on the Swedish Broadcasting Corportation has ever done,” said Per Josefsson, the representative for www.sr.se/radiosporten.
“Thanks to the co-operation with golf.se thousands of radio listeners all over the world can follow this year´s Solheim Cup without commercial breaks.”
If you want live pictures in addition to the web-radio update that´s also possible through the web you will need a high speed connection. But regardless of whether the visitor is in Australia, India or the United States he or she will have full coverage of every shot in the classical golf duel between Europe and the United States through web-TV on golf.se.
Furthermore, the visitor can use a PDA-unit with WLAN if they have Pocket-PC installed.
“We have very good experience from the web-TV broadcasting we have done from our big golf tournaments in Sweden before,” said Martin Söderberg, from the department of business development at the Swedish Golf Federation.
“It goes without saying that golf.se shall have this service as the official website for the Solheim Cup.”
The websites fot the web radio and PDA visual broadcast are as follows;
