With just two events remaining this year, the 2022 LET season is slowly drawing towards it’s conclusion, with October seeing two more fantastic competitions on either side of the globe, with two more maiden LET winners.
After a two week break with no compeititions, we made our way to the USA for the second hosting of the Aramco Team Series – New York, held at Trump Golf Links at Ferry Point.
American superstar Lexi Thompson took the spoils in a hotly contested week in the Big Apple to claim a first win at an LET event, while Johanna Gustavsson captained her side to victory in the Team Event.
We then made the 7000+ mile journey to DLF Golf and Country Club, as the Hero Women’s Indian Open returned to the LET schedule for the first time in three years, with Olivia Cowan lifting the trophy in her 96th event on tour, with 27 top ten finishes in that time.
The talent on course was clear to see in both events in the month, with no fewer than three hole-in-ones in the latter of the two, with Linda Wessberg, Gabrielle MacDonald and Seher Atwal all claiming aces in the opening two days in India.
Wessberg and Atwal feature in October’s Shot of the Month competition, as does Annabel Dimmock, who rolled in a lengthy putt from off the green in New York, as the English star continues to impress on her return from injury.
Nicole Garcia also caught the eye while we were in the United States with a superb chip-in on the par-three 12th to claim an unlikely birdie.
