VOTE FOR APRIL’S SHOT OF THE MONTH

With four events in as many weeks, the month of April has been a busy one on the Ladies European Tour, and there have been plenty of top shots in that time for us all to enjoy.

The month began with Lee-Anne Pace claiming a fifth Investec South African Women’s Open in Cape Town, before Ratchanon ‘TK” Chantananuwat and Sihwan Kim took the spoils at the Trust Golf Asian Mixed Cup and Trust Golf Asian Mixed Stableford Challenge respectively.

Meghan MacLaren then returned to the winner’s circle at the Australian Women’s Classic – Bonville, which was her third LET title, while Maja Stark also made it a trio of victories as the month came to an end at the Women’s NSW Open.

And Stark produced a number of top quality shots to earn herself the trophy at Coolangatta & Tweed Heads Golf Club, including a fantastic approach from the bunker in her third round, where she fired a super round of 66 (-6) to put herself into the ascendancy in New South Wales.

Earlier in the month, things went down to the wire in Cape Town, as Lee-Anne Pace and Maggie Simmermacher fought tooth and nail in a six-hole playoff for the Investec South African Women’s Open title at Steenberg Golf Club.

It wasn’t to be for the Argentine as Pace edged the win, but a moment of quality from the bunker on the 18th saw her keep the pressure on throughout the marathon battle.

Thai talent Jaravee Boonchant had a memorable day at the Trust Golf Asian Mixed Stableford Challenge as she holed out from a fairway bunker to earn herself a valuable eagle, which was a great way to top off a terrific week in her home country.

And finally, Meghan MacLaren was on fire around the greens as she earned a third LET title in Bonville, with a monster putt on the sixth helping her to return to the winner’s circle.
