Vasatorps Golf Club in Helsingborg has been named host venue for the Volvo Car Scandinavian Mixed from June 6-9, 2024.
The tournament, co-sanctioned by the DP World Tour and Ladies European Tour, is returning to southern Sweden and features a field of 78 men and 78 women playing for one prize fund and one trophy. Fans can register their interest in tickets here.
Formed in 1973, Vasatorps Golf Club is located 20 minutes from central Helsingborg in Skåne County and offers 54 unique holes on four different courses of varying character.
The Tournament Course has previously hosted DP World Tour events, including the Scandinavian Enterprise Open from 1978–1980, where the late, great Seve Ballesteros lifted the trophy in its first edition. Since then, it has also formed part of the European Challenge Tour schedule and featured on the Ladies European Tour, including the 2002 Compaq Open won by ten-time Major champion Annika Sörenstam.
Hall of Famer Sörenstam successfully hosted three editions of the innovative mixed event, showcasing her commitment to promoting diversity in golf and bringing a fresh approach to the game in Sweden. A trailblazer in women’s sport, Sörenstam will take a step back from her hosting duties as she lightens her playing commitments this season and concentrates on inspiring the next generation with the ANNIKA Foundation.
