TWO-TIME LET WINNER DELACOUR EXCITED FOR TEAM ASPECT IN KOREA

Perrine Delacour

It’s been a non-stop month since Perrine Delacour won her second Ladies European Tour (LET) title in April.

The Frenchwoman secured a two-stroke victory at the Investec South African Women’s Open at Erinvale Golf & Country Estate.

She immediately flew to the United States to play on the LPGA Tour at the JM Eagle LA Championship presented by Plastpro where she finished T37.

Last week, Delacour recorded a T64 result at the Black Desert Championship presented by Greater Zion before flying to Seoul for this week’s LET tournament.

“It’s been a crazy couple of weeks afterwards. I won on the Sunday and then took a straight flight to go and play on the LPGA for two weeks and then I’m here in Seoul,” she said.

“It’s been a busy month; I wasn’t expecting to be that busy but it’s been pretty good. I haven’t had that much time to enjoy [the win] because I’ve been going from tournament to tournament, but it’s definitely nice to get the second win under my belt.

“It was nice. You’re going to the LPGA with more confidence and happiness after the win, so it definitely helped me a lot. Especially in LA, I had my brother caddie for me, so that was a nice moment as a family, and we mostly enjoyed both of us and three out of the four days were good.”

With an LET win in 2025, Delacour knows she has the freedom to play in LET events and is trying to balance her schedule for the year between the LPGA and the LET.

Her victory in South Africa also means she will have opportunities at the co-sanctioned ISPS HANDA Women’s Scottish Open and AIG Women’s Open in the summer.

She continued: “I knew it was going to be a quick turnaround having played in Utah last week, but I have to get every opportunity I can on the LPGA. I’m trying to play as much as I can.

“I haven’t made my mind up on my schedule yet. Every three or four weeks I know where I’m playing, you can’t do both as it’s too much travel. Right now, I’m playing in Korea, Dutch and Jabra but then June I haven’t decided. I will play the co-sanctioned events in July; I’m trying to balance between the two Tours.”

This week sees the $2m USD Aramco Korea Championship taking place at New Korea Country Club in Seoul and the two-time LET winner is excited for the team format.

“[On the jetlag] It’s hard, but we’re trying to stay awake as much as we can. I’m going to go and practice a little bit, then work out, just so we can stay awake as much as we can and get used to the jetlag because the tournament starts Friday,” she added.

“I’m looking forward to having a team event this week in Korea. I’m definitely looking forward to spending more time as a team this week rather than playing on your own. Even though, there are two competitions, it’s always nice to have the team support.

“I haven’t played on the course before, but I have stayed here when I played on the LPGA a couple of years ago. I know they’re doing the International Crown here, it’s nice to see different courses and see different countries.”
