Former world number one Yani Tseng, is officially a member of the Ladies European Tour (LET) following her four-stroke victory at the Wistron Ladies Open last week.
The five-time Major champion captured an emotional win on home soil – her first win in 11 years – at Sunrise Golf and Country Club where she has been playing since was 14 years old.
Tseng began with an impressive opening round of 63, which she completed on Sunday morning before returning to the course just hours later for the final round.
Despite unpredictable weather that forced the tournament to be shortened to a 36-hole format, the home star stayed composed and focused to win with a total of 14-under par in Taoyuan.
“I’ve been waiting for this trophy for so long”, Tseng said following her win at the Wistron Ladies Open. “To win this tournament in my home country and in front of my family and friends is amazing. I’ve been really emotional from this win, and just shows you should never give up on your dreams.”
Thanks to her victory and taking up immediate LET membership, the 500 LET Order of Merit points will now count for Tseng in the official rankings for the remainder of the 2025 season.
It is the first time the 36-year-old has taken up LET membership, so 2025 will be counted as her rookie LET season and she will also appear in the Rookie of the Year standings. The Chinese Taipei native will also have a one-year exemption for the 2026 season.
Tseng, who was world number one for 109 consecutive weeks between 2011 and 2013, has now amassed 28 victories worldwide.
This is her second win at Sunrise Golf and Country Club, following her 2011 victory at the Sunrise LPGA Taiwan Championship, and her seventh LET title (listed below).

2. 2010 Women’s British Open (now AIG Women’s Open)
