The battle for the Lalla Meryem Cup remained wide open as the leaders made their way to the turn in fine weather during the final round at Golf de l’Ocean in Agadir this morning.
At one point, four players were tied for the lead on seven under par, namely Esther Choe, Karen Lunn, Jade Schaeffer and Marianne Skarpnord, after five holes.
However, Skarpnord pulled one stroke clear with a birdie on the par-three sixth, to move ahead of the chasing pack in her pursuit of a third LET title and first since 2009.
Valentine Derrey is in the hunt along with fellow Frenchwoman Sophie Giquel-Bettan and Carin Koch.
Today’s winner will collect a cheque for 48,750 euros and a silver purse at the joint prize ceremony for the Lalla Meryem Cup and the Trophée Hassan II taking place at Golf du Palais Royal.
