With just one more day until the tournament begins, the teams for the PIF Saudi Ladies International were decided in Riyadh on Tuesday.

A total of 28 teams will take part in the tournament with each team comprising of four professional players.

Team Captains were selected from the official Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings as of Monday February 3, 2025, with the captains picking in reverse order e.g. the 28th ranked captain picked first and the 1st ranked captain picked last.

Each Captain picked one team member to be on their team while the third and the fourth member were picked at random.

The captains went down different routes while picking their player with some opting for a friend, others selecting those in form and some choosing those from the same country.

Defending champion Patty Tavatankit selected last week’s LET winner Cara Gainer and the duo will be joined by Sweden’s Johanna Wrigley and England’s Alice Hewson.

England’s Charley Hull picked Mexico’s Maria Fassi with the pair also playing alongside Germany’s Chiara Noja and Korea’s Jo-Eun Kim.

Switzerland’s Chiara Tamburlini opted for good friend Pauline Roussin-Bouchard and the duo will also be joined by Spain’s Nuria Iturrioz and Norway’s Marianne Skarpnord.

Sweden’s Linn Grant selected England’s Annabell Fuller with their team also including France’s Perrine Delacour and Brianna Navarrosa of the USA.

England’s Georgia Hall chose Singapore’s Shannon Tan – much to the LET winner’s excitement – and they are also joined by Slovenia’s Pia Babnik and Wales’ Chloe Williams.

Germany’s Alexandra Försterling selected close friend Emma Spitz of Austria with Spain’s Maria Hernandez and Norway’s Dorthea Forbrigd completing the team.

World number four Jeeno Thitikul picked fellow Thai LET winner Pornanong Phatlum and the pair will play alongside Germany’s Laura Fuenstueck and Ireland’s Lauren Walsh.

Similarly, Moriya Jutanugarn of Thailand also picked LET player April Angurasaranee from Thailand with Germany’s Aline Krauter and Italy’s Alessandra Fanali completing the line-up.

Finally, Denmark’s Nanna Koerstz Madsen chose fellow countrywoman Emily Kristine Pedersen and the Danish duo will joined by France’s Agathe Sauzon and Czechia’s Kristyna Napoleaova.
