It’s been a phenomenal month for Chiara Tamburlini as she stretched her advantage at the top of the Order of Merit and Rookie of the Year standings.
The Swiss star has been top of the pile in the Rookie of the Year ranking for a few months and climbed to the top of the Order of Merit after a fourth-place finish in Ireland.
However, the 24-year-old has been in excellent form in the recent four-week stretch on the Ladies European Tour (LET).
After a T18 finish at La Sella Open in Spain, Tamburlini captured her second victory of the season defeating Kirsten Rudgeley in a playoff at the Lacoste Ladies Open de France.
The Tour then headed to China for the Aramco Team Series presented by PIF – Shenzhen where the rookie captained her Team to victory.
She also finished in a share of third place in the Individual competition which took place on the World Cup Course at Mission Hills China.
Tamburlini continued her fine form last week securing her third LET win of the season with a four-stroke victory at Wistron Ladies Open – Taiwan.
The three-time LET winner now has 2,623.44 points to her name and leads the LET’s Order of Merit – the season-long competition to crown the best player – by 991.98 points ahead of Belgium’s Manon De Roey.
Meanwhile, she also leads the Rookie of the Year standings by 1,450.58 points ahead of Singapore’s Shannon Tan.
Tamburlini will next tee it up at the Hero Women’s Indian Open from 24-27 October where she will have the opportunity to seal the Rookie of the Year title and potentially the Order of Merit crown too.
