The stars of the LET are ready to vie for the title at the Ladies European Thailand Championship, which starts in Pattaya on Thursday. The €300,000 event is being held at held at Phoenix Gold Golf and Country Club for the third successive year.
Marianne Skarpnord, Esther Henseleit, Meghan MacLaren, Caroline Hedwall, Lina Boqvist, Olivia Cowan, Laura Fuenfstueck, Diksha Dagar and Annabel Dimmock are amongst the highest ranked players in the competition, which is co-sanctioned by the LET and Thai LPGA.
Parinda Phokan, Chonlada Chayanun and Arpichaya Yubol are among Thailand’s best hopes, along with past champions Atthaya Thitikul and Kanyalak Preedasuttijit.
In the inaugural championship, history was made when teenage amateur Atthaya Thitikul lifted the trophy and became the youngest ever winner in a professional golf tournament at the age of 14.
This is the 11th Ladies European Tour event of the 2019 season and the winner will earn a place in the European majors this summer: the Evian Championship and the AIG Ricoh Women’s British Open. Moreover, European LET members are eligible to earn Solheim Cup points for top-10 finishes and this week marks a golden opportunity for the LET players to push to qualify for Team Europe.

Anyone in the area is invited to come along and join a free golf clinic from 9-10am on Wednesday, where they will have the chance to learn technique from the participating players, including the recent Jabra Ladies Open champion Annabel Dimmock.
