(Drottningholm, August 9 2003) Sweden’s Sophie Gustafson gave the large crowds at Drottningholm plenty to cheer about after firing an error free nine under par 63, smashing the course record to lead on 15 under par after three rounds at the HP Open in Stockholm.

One of those will be Sörenstam, who is aiming for her sixth victory of the year worldwide. Sörenstam dropped just one shot in her round and admitted that on Sunday she aims to turn the screw.
“It seems like a lot of players are playing good, and I think I will need something in the mid sixties to have a chance,” said the World’s best.
“It’s exciting to be in the final group, I’ll be in the middle of everything, I can keep an eye on what’s going on and apply some pressure just to let them all know I’m here and that I am serious!”
Davies, despite a wayward day with her driving is still confident that she can snare her fourth Swedish title from five shots adrift.
“I was a bit wayward with my driver today, but I was hitting my irons really close, just not taking advantage of it with the putter,” said Davies.
“Sophie proved that you can go really low and I think I’ll need a seven or eight under par to post and give them all something to think about chasing.
“If the wind blows, this can be a really tough course, so we’ll see what happens.”
Morgan has laid down her claim for a maiden Solheim Cup place with another top ten looming, making it her seventh of the year if she finishes without too much drama on Sunday.
“I think I’ve been playing very well this year and it would be really nice to make the team,” said Morgan, who represented Great Britain and Ireland in two Curtis Cups.
“I can see arguments for and against me getting a pick, I’ve got no experience, so that could count against me, but if I continue to play well, I’ll see what happens.”
