Carin Koch from Sweden also boosted her chances of being noticed by captain Nilsmark before the major events take place next month with a top ten in only her second outing since giving birth to Simzon Michael Koch last April. Koch, undefeated in The Solheim Cup is in 20th position after the French Open and with the big money events, the US Open, Evian Masters and Weetabix Women’s British Open coming in the next five weeks, Koch will aim to make Nilsmark’s decision easier by qualifying automatically.
And Johnson, denied a pick for last years matches at Interlachen, her first omission from the team since the events inauguration in 1990 is doing her utmost to get back in Europe’s team. Second place in the French Open took her to tenth in the rankings on 56.50 points with the approximate qualifying mark expected to be around 120 point to get into the top seven spots.
