England’s Kiran Matharu, 17, the Ladies English Amateur Champion who turned professional in August, fired a 70 and tied for third position on two-under-par with compatriot Sophie Walker (71), Jade Schaeffer of France (70), and Spain’s Maria Beautell (73).
After the third round on Friday, 50 players and ties will progress into the final round on Saturday. There will now be 28 players who receive a full Ladies European Tour card.
