Round two completed on Sunday morning

The second round of the SGF67 World Ladies Championship with SBS resumed at 7.15am this morning in warm and humid conditions at Mission Hills Haikou Blackstone Course in Hainan, China and was completed by 9.30am.

Seon Woo Bae (pictured), who was standing over her third shot to the par-5 18th green when play was suspended due to lightning on Saturday evening, made a par on her last hole to sign for a six-under-par 67, which including back-to-back eagles on the long 12th and 13th holes. She finished with a 36-hole total of 10-under-par to occupy solo second position, a stroke behind fellow South Korean Hae Rym Kym on 11-under, with Georgia Hall two strokes further back in third on eight-under-par.

There will be a two-tee start for the third and final round, commencing at 10am, with the last group containing Hall, Bae and Kim teeing off at 11.40am.

Korean players have won the last three editions of the World Ladies Championship (Inbee Park, So Yeon Ryu and Jung-min Lee) and there are seven KLPGA players and three LET players in the top-10 heading into the final round of the tri-sanctioned event with the CLPGA. The three LET players are Britons Hall, Kylie Henry and Florentyna Parker, who start four and five strokes adrift of the lead in a tie for fourth and sixth respectively.

The 2015 Rookie of the Year Emily Kristine Pedersen of Denmark is the next best positioned LET player in a tie for 13th, with Felicity Johnson, Swedes Lina Boqvist and Camilla Lennarth and Germany’s Leticia Ras Anderica in a group tied for 20th. The top Chinese player heading into the final round is Panpan Yan in a share of 28th position.
