RISING STAR ARWEFJALL EXCITED TO COMPETE ON HOME SOIL

Sweden’s rising star Kajsa Arwefjäll is excited to compete on home soil this week at the Hills Open.

“It feels amazing,” said Arwefjäll. “It’s always special to play at home, so I’m really looking forward to the week.”

Although she’s competing in her home country, this will be the rookie’s debut at Hills Golf Club, located more than 200km west of her hometown, Tranas.

Sharing her first impressions of the course, she added: “There are some lovely views out here. A few holes are reachable, others a bit tougher – a nice blend overall. I really enjoy just walking the course because it’s so beautiful.”

The Swede has already enjoyed a strong start to her debut season on the LET, collecting three top-10 finishes in 2025 – at the Lalla Meryem Cup, the Australian Women’s Classic, and the Joburg Ladies Open.

In terms of her game, Arwefjäll feels optimistic. “I’ve been playing well lately – hitting good shots, making some putts. Of course, you always want to make more, but I’m feeling confident about the week and what’s ahead.”

Reflecting on her rookie year so far, she said consistency has been key. “I didn’t expect to be this high up in the Order of Merit, but I always knew I had potential. To start the season with T8 and T4 was nice to know I can be up there in contention so I would say a good year and hopefully I can do well for the remainder of the season.”

Off the course, she has made some good friends with fellow LET members including Ellinor Südow and Dorthea Forbrigd. “I love it,” she said. “It’s so nice to travel together. I’ve always wanted to go to Australia and South Africa, and to do both in one trip was amazing.”

This week promises to be extra special, with her parents, siblings, grandparents, and even her rope-skipping coach coming out to support. “It’s super exciting for them to be here and watch me play,” said the rookie.

The 25-year-old will kick off her campaign in round one tomorrow at 2:36pm (local time), alongside Italy’s Alessandra Fanali and Spain’s Luna Sobron Galmes.
