RHODES LEADS ROOKIE OF THE YEAR AFTER CLINCHING MAIDEN TITLE

Mimi Rhodes

England’s Mimi Rhodes now leads the 2025 Rookie of the Year standings after the first four Ladies European Tour (LET) events of the season.

The Curtis Cup star turned professional in September last year, then went on to win the Lavaux Ladies Open on the LET Access Series before securing her LET card for 2025 at Q-School in December.

In just her fourth start of the season, Rhodes fired a course record 62 (-9) at Wollongong Golf Club in the second round of the Ford Women’s NSW Open to put herself into contention.

The English star continued her excellent form for the final two days of competition to secure a two-shot victory and clinch her maiden LET title.

As a result of her win, Rhodes climbed to top spot in the Rookie of the Year standings with 536.50 points.

Sweden’s Kajsa Arwefjäll sits in second place with 247.50 points having recorded two top-10 finishes at the Lalla Meryem Cup (T8) and Australian Women’s Classic (T4), as well as T36 at the Ford Women’s NSW Open.

Spain’s Blanca Fernandez recorded her first top-10 result of the season with a T5 finish in Wollongong, to move up to third place with 157.35 points.

Wales’ Darcey Harry is just behind in fourth place with 150.50 points, meanwhile Brianna Navarrosa of the United States is fifth with 125.75 points.

Next up for the LET is a trip to South Africa in April with the first of two events – the Joburg Ladies Open – taking place from April 3-6 at Modderfontein Golf Club.
