Followers of the LET media sites will have noticed that a new “Power Drive Test” by Bushnell competition has been running recently.
The last campaign finished on Sunday 21st September after members of the public were invited to guess which player would hit the most powerful drive during the Tenerife Open de Espana Femenino, with the prospect of winning a brand new Tour v3 Laser Rangefinder.
This campaign showed the power of our Ladies European Tour members and once again we had a lucky winner who was Mr. Esteban Pacios, from Spain.
During this campaign, which featured the competition question: “Which player will hit the most powerful drive over the Tenerife Open de Espana femenino,” there were four different choices, all of them ranked within the top of the driving distance statistics: Melissa Reid, Carlota Ciganda, Sophie Gustafson and rookie Charlotte Thompson.
The majority of the contestants thought that Carlota and Charlotte would be the longest ones. And the actual longest driving distance was 310 yards recorded by Carlota on her first and second rounds, both on 18th Hole. Charlotte hit the same distance in Round 1, but Carlota’s average distance over the four rounds was 282 yds. (See Round 3 stats below)
Carlota Ciganda – Round 3 stats: longest driver was 300 yds
Congratulations to Mr. Pacios who can now start measuring his own driving distances over the following weeks using his new Bushnell Tour v3 Laser Rangefinder and thank you all for your support and for following us!
