SECOND ROUND UNDER WAY AFTER WEATHER DELAY

Second round play is under way at the Jabra Ladies Open after a one-hour suspension from 14:55 due to inclement weather.

Dark thunder clouds circled the Evian Resort on a mixed day of mostly sunny weather, interspersed with cloud and occasional rainfall.

Switzerland’s Morgane Metraux held a two-stroke lead when play was suspended, sitting at six-under-par after six holes on Friday. She started at the 15th hole and birdied the par-4 17th before making an excellent eagle on the par-5 18th hole.

The 2022 Italian Open champion bogeyed the first hole but remained two clear of compatriot Chiara Tamburlini after three holes and France’s Agathe Sauzon after nine. The leaders in the clubhouse after the morning session are Jana Melichova of Czechia and Sweden’s Moa Folke on three-under-par.
