Ana Peláez Trivino enjoyed her week playing at the Aramco Team Series Presented by PIF – Tampa.
The Spaniard had a solid start to the season finishing in a tie for third at the Magical Kenya Ladies Open and followed that with T52 at the Lalla Meryem Cup.
But it was her week at Feather Sound Country Club where Peláez was enjoying her time on the golf course and found herself in contention once again.
“It was really exciting, also sharing this moment with my brother is always special,” she said.
“I’m very happy to see my game trending and competing against the best. Every good week grows the confidence, it has gone higher than it was last week.”
The 25-year-old produced rounds of 70-68-71 to finish with a total of seven-under-par and be in a share of fourth place alongside fellow Spaniard Carlota Ciganda.
During the tournament, Peláez spoke about her mindset out on the golf course and how she has adapted her training to train smarter rather than harder.
She explained: “It’s difficult to stay patient especially based on my personality, it’s even tougher. I have to repeat to myself all the time and remind myself to be patient, you’re doing a good job. Enjoy it out there, bring the energy and everything will go along.
“I am really tough on myself so looking at things in a simple way, I think it keeps my soul calm and it helps me on the golf course to make mistakes and come back from them. I’m really happy with the work I’m putting in in that aspect.”
Peláez also led her team of Ines Laklalech, Ursula Wikstrom and amateur Chris Rainey to a share of fourth place in the Team competition.
Having her brother on the Carlos on the bag added to the enjoyment and the LET winner hopes to continue having fun in 2024.
She added: “I have really enjoyed this week. I really enjoyed the team format, I played with probably the funniest team ever. I cannot believe I chose them! With my brother here in Florida, it’s been so much fun. It’s been a great week.”
