Pace has clubhouse lead on day two at Hubbelrath

Overnight leader Lee-Anne Pace of South Africa said she was disappointed with her second round of 74 on Friday morning but at five-under-par, she holds the clubhouse lead in the ISPS HANDA Ladies European Masters at Golf Club Hubbelrath in Germany.

Katie Burnett of the United States was amongst the later starters and moved two strokes ahead with a birdie on the par-3 13th hole, only to bogey the ninth taking a one stroke lead through the turn, while South Korean In-Kyung Kim, who won the title at the Buckinghamshire Golf Club in England two years ago, sat alongside Pace on five under after nine steady pars.

England’s Annabel Dimmock had a sensational 69 this morning to move to four-under with Camilla Lennarth of Sweden and Americans Angel Yin and Amelia Lewis and India’s Aditi Ashok is amongst the players on three-under, as she played the back nine holes in four-under, including an eagle on the 17th, today.

Germany’s Sandra Gal is back in the tournament on two-under-par after a 68 this morning and with the weather heating up, it’s set to be a scintillating afternoon.
