England’s Mimi Rhodes continues to impress in her rookie season as she still leads the Order of Merit (OOM) standings on 1,821.74 points having played 14 tournaments in the 2025 season schedule.
The 23-year-old will be in action again this week at the Hills Open, with Czechia’s Sara Kouskova also in the field and sitting just behind her in the OOM standings.
The three-time LET winner has enjoyed a strong month, making her debut at the AIG Women’s Open with a T19 finish, while also securing T4 in the individual event and T23 in the team competition at the PIF London Championship.
Reflecting on her form, Rhodes admitted she has shifted her mindset: “Before, I was putting too much expectation on myself – thinking about outcomes and trying to win instead of just letting the golf happen. At the AIG Women’s Open, I went in with a more open mind and just wanted to enjoy it. Having family there and then being close to home again at the PIF London Championship, helped me feel so much more relaxed on the course.”
After a busy stretch, Rhodes took a much-needed rest last week: “I’m feeling refreshed and overall in a great state. I went home last week and took a few days off golf. I saw a few friends so I’m kind of still in vacation mode right now, but I’ll lock in in a few days.”
It’s already been a long season with Rhodes playing 14 events so far in 2025. “I think it’s so important to take breaks where you can in the middle of the season. I came off the back of three tournaments in a row, so, just to not touch the clubs for a couple of days and just relax by the pool, I think it’s so important. It’s also good to let the body recover.”
Looking ahead to the Hills Open, the rookie is excited by what the course has to offer: “It’s really nice. The views are immaculate. The fairways are really crisp. There are some reachable par 5s and two par-three’s back-to-back, so it’s honestly a really interesting setup. I think low scores can be made here and a lot fun can be made.”
Finishing top on the Order of Merit is a big goal for Rhodes. “It’s definitely my number one goal. Especially because I’ve been top most of the year. I’m just trying to play as many events as I can, give myself that opportunity to win it. However I’m still just taking one competition at a time and just trying to learn from the experience.”
