Golf fans can enjoy two world-class fields for the price of one this July, when the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open and Aberdeen Asset Management Ladies Scottish Open come to Dundonald Links.

The events are being played at the same venue for the first time, and just a week apart. Fans can take in both tournaments with ease thanks to a great offer – purchase a ticket for the Scottish Open on July 13-16, with adult prices starting at just £30, and get free entry to the Ladies Scottish Open on July 27-30.

Both tournaments are enjoying elevated status this year, and a feast of golf will be on display as the leading male and female golfers gather in Scotland, the Home of Golf.

This year the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open takes its place as part of the European Tour’s new Rolex Series, a premium category of eight tournaments on the Race to Dubai, each with a minimum prize fund of US$7million.

With the significant prize fund increase and greater Race to Dubai points on offer, golfing stars such as World Number Two Rory McIlroy, The Open champion Henrik Stenson, former Masters Tournament winner Adam Scott, and 2015 Scottish Open champion Rickie Fowler will tee it up in the week before The 146th Open Championship.

For the first time, the Aberdeen Asset Management Ladies Scottish Open will be co-sanctioned by the LET and LPGA, with a stellar field competing for the highest prize fund outside of the Majors. No fewer than seven of the world’s top 10 are already confirmed, including the World Number One and Two Ariya Jutanugarn and Lydia Ko, who headline a field that also includes Major Champions Michelle Wie and Scotland’s own Catriona Matthew.

Martin Gilbert, CEO of Aberdeen Asset Management, said: “This is an exciting year for both the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open and the Aberdeen Asset Management Ladies Scottish Open and I have no doubt that golf fans in Ayrshire and beyond will be looking forward to these two thrilling tournaments.

“With this ticket offer fans will get the opportunity to enjoy two weeks of world class golf for a great price this summer. I very much look forward to joining them in the presence of some of golf’s biggest names at Dundonald Links.”

Paul Bush, Director of Events at VisitScotland, said: “I’m delighted that Dundonald Links and the stunning Ayrshire coastline will play host to these two fantastic events in quick succession and with this outstanding ticket offer I look forward to seeing big Scottish crowds turning out at both events to watch some of the best players in the world.”

As well as a world-class field competing inside the ropes at the Scottish Open, there will be a host of entertainment for spectators to enjoy outside the ropes, including a free American Golf show, the return of the Hero Challenge, a host of family entertainment and a wide selection of food from local suppliers.
