Gwladys has fond memories in India, as she won the EMAAR-MGF Ladies Masters in Bangalore in 2007.
What are your expectations for the Hero Women’s Indian Open?
I don’t have many expectations, I want to play well and give my best on each shot and see where my game is. Of course I want to win: I haven’t won this year so that’s what I’m looking for. Firstly I have to play decent and play shot by shot.
Are you in good form?
Yes, if I wasn’t in good form I wouldn’t come all the way to India to play golf. Hopefully it will work out.
How is the course different from last year?
They changed the set up a little bit. It’s a little different, but not much. I guess it depends on the wind. You know it’s going to be nice and sunny but the wind is a factor here so I don’t know about the scores. We’ll have to wait until Saturday.
What do you find unique about this golf course?
It’s pretty amazing and beautiful. It’s nice to see a golf course where they kept the monuments and nature with all the animals. It’s in the city so you just cross the road and you’re on the golf course.
Are you enjoying the Indian food?
Indian food: I go slowly but surely. I try to avoid too much spice but I really enjoy it.
What do you think of the field?
It’s a strong field and there are a lot of players who can win this week. I think it’s going to be tight and it will be good fun for people to watch.
