NADAUD STICKING TO HER PROCESSES IN 2024

Nastasia Nadaud

Nastasia Nadaud secured her first top-10 finish of the 2024 Ladies European Tour (LET) season in Tampa.

In the Individual event of the Aramco Team Series Presented by PIF – Tampa, the 19-year-old produced three consecutive rounds of 70 (-2) to finish in a tie for sixth place on six-under-par.

Heading into that week, the French teenager believed the course at Feather Sound Country Club suited her.

But having not played her best golf in the opening two tournaments of the year, Nadaud made sure she was better prepared.

“To be honest, when I arrived here, I really like the course and liked the set up,” she said. “The course in itself is really good, and I really liked it.

“I’m really happy to play really solid every day. I played two-under every day, so it was pretty steady but the last two days were tougher with the wind, so I’m really happy with that.

“I didn’t really feel like I was playing my game in the first two or three tournaments of the year. It was pretty steady and I prepared myself better for this week, I’m going to stick to my process and it worked out.”

Realising that she needs to prepare better for tournament was one of the things that Nadaud learned in her rookie year on Tour.

While the teenager – who finished 54th in last year’s Order of Merit – also learned that it’s better to take time off than keep playing.

With the LETAS winner heading to Australia for the Women’s NSW Open and the Australian Women’s Classic, she is hopeful to continue with her new processes and mindset in 2024.

She explained: “After Tampa, I have ten days at home and then leaving for Australia. It’s giving me a lot of confidence and showing me that with this mindset I can play some very decent golf. We will just go with it.

“There are things that I changed with travel, but I think the most important thing I learned is that I need some time off. Playing every week or seven/eight weeks in a row is definitely not for me.

“Just learning to take a break and prepare myself for a week and go back, just like I did for this week! I had a week off before and it really helps me to take some time out first and prepare well for the next week. I think that’s the most important point.”
