Minjee Lee makes professional debut

Minjee was the leading amateur at this year’s World Ladies Championship

Minjee Lee, the No. 1 ranked female amateur golfer in the world, announced earlier this week that she will make her professional debut at the Evian Championship. Lee is coming off a strong week at the Women’s World Amateur Team Championship where she led Team Australia to victory with rounds of 64-65 in Japan. The 18-year old and Perth, Australia native has made six starts in LPGA events including three major championships this season. Lee earned low amateur honours at the Kraft Nabisco Championship this year with a T24 finish. She was also the only amateur player to compete in the inaugural International Crown for Team Australia this past July.
