  • Golf Saudi’s premier women’s golf event ready to rock Seoul with a new name, a fresh format and formidable prize fund
  • Revamped team format ensures more winning opportunities for LET stars across season building on the legacy of the Aramco Team Series presented by PIF
  • The best of the LET and LPGA will head to New Korea Country Club, 9-11 May 2025

Golf Saudi’s Aramco Korea Championship is ready to wow Korea’s adoring golfing public, bringing with it a revamped format, elevated prize fund, and a stacked field of the Ladies European Tour (LET) and LPGA players at New Korea Country Club from 9-11 May 2025.

The return of the LET event, previously known as the Aramco Team Series presented by PIF, sees the ultra-exclusive New Korea Country Club open its doors to the public once again after last year’s edition.

Korea’s own Hyo-Joo Kim produced a dominant display in 2024, shooting 10-under-par to clinch the trophy in front of her dedicated ‘shooting star’ fan club on her event debut.

Headlining the field this year is Major champion Danielle Kang, who led her team to victory in 2024 and is determined to defend her title in what promises to be one of the most competitive events on the LET.

Golf Saudi ambassador Kang relishes the opportunity to play as part of a team once more

Kang, who has Korean heritage, is particularly excited to return to Seoul and compete in front of passionate local fans.

“I’ve said it many times before, but I love competing as part of a team. The team format makes it even more fun because we get to share the experience, push each other, and celebrate together,” she said.

“Last year was such a great memory, and I can’t wait to be back, playing alongside some of the best in the world and hopefully I’ll get to lift another trophy.

“I’m very thankful for Golf Saudi for consistently elevating women’s golf and creating opportunities for players like me to compete in team and individual formats.”

The Aramco Korea Championship introduces an exciting new format that raises the stakes for players and fans alike. With a $2 million prize fund, double that of previous Aramco Team Series presented by PIF events, it cements its status as a premier stop on the LET calendar.

A major evolution in the competition structure is the shift to an all-professional team format, enhancing both the level of play and opportunities for elite golfers. Previously, each team included an amateur alongside three professionals; now, all 26 teams will consist exclusively of four professional players.

The tournament unfolds over three thrilling days. The team competition, spanning two days, offers a $500,000 prize purse, while the individual champion will be crowned after the third round, competing for a share of the $1.5 million prize.

This reimagined structure raises the intensity of the competition and continues Golf Saudi’s reputation for organizing elite-level, international events that support the LET’s continued drive to grow the women’s game and offer more playing opportunities to its members than ever before.

With more players set to be announced the field, the Aramco Korea Championship promises to be the must watch women’s golf event in Seoul.
