2pm update:
West Australian Whitney Hillier set the clubhouse target with a two-under-par 69 and was joined by England’s Felicity Johnson and New Zealand’s Munchin Keh, who held a three-way share of the lead just after lunchtime. However, Scotland’s Michele Thomson held a slim advantage on three-under-par after seven holes. She started with three birdies in her first four holes, bogeyed the par-4 14th and then birdied the 15th in pursuit of her maiden LET win.
11am update:
Belgian Fanny Cnops (above) has returned into a share of the lead after making the turn in one-under 35. The 2018 Lavaux Ladies Championship winner on the LET Access Series birdied the second and then carded a pair of bogeys on the fourth and fifth holes, but made an eagle on the par-5 seventh to get into a share of the lead alongside German rookie Esther Henseleit and Kiwi Munchin Keh.
10am update:
The temperatures are warming up and so are the scores as players jostle for position atop the leader board. There’s a five-way share of the lead held by Australian Brianna Gill, Justine Dreher from France, Munchin Keh from New Zealand, Esther Henseleit from Germany and England’s Gabriella Cowley.
Dreher had a topsy turvy front nine, with two birdies in her first three holes followed by three bogeys and then an eagle on the long seventh before hitting the turn in one-under-par 35 on the par 71 course.
9am update:
The 2019 Worrells Women’s NSW Open is underway at Queanbeyan Golf Club.
Switzerland’s Melanie Maetzler and Wales’ Becky Brewerton got the field away at 7.30am.

Despite the temperature being a balmy six degrees celsius, things are expected to warm up quickly and the players should expect a day perfect for scoring.
Defending Champion Meghan MacLaren teed of at 8.10am alongside recently crowned Australian Ladies Classic Champion, Norway’s Marianne Skarpnord and local New South Wales player Sarah Kemp.
For anyone tempted to head out to watch the afternoon half of the draw, tournament favourite Caroline Hedwall will tee off alongside Coonabarabran’s Rebecca Artis and the impressive Spaniard Silvia Banon at 12.50pm.
