LET Rookies head to Spain

The Ladies European Tour (LET) has announced a partnership with the Dénia Marriott La Sella Golf Resort and Spa which will see the inaugural Rookie Orientation Days taking place at the impressive five-star venue just outside Alicante, Spain from Thursday 29th to Saturday 31st January. The Orientation Days will bring together the stars of the future who qualified to play on the Ladies European Tour through the Lalla Aicha Tour School and the LET’s official development tour, the LET Access Series. According to Mike Round, Director of Development and Membership: “This is a new venture organised by our recently established Development Department. The aim is to provide those who are new to the Tour with information and guidance so that their introduction to Tour life is as smooth as possible. As well as educating them about the LET’s vison and values, they’ll also be given practical information about playing in professional events. “We’re very fortunate to be able to stage our inaugural Rookie Orientation Days at such a wonderful facility.  The LET is extremely grateful to the staff at the venue who have helped us to put the event together.  We’re all looking forward to our visit.” lasella2 In addition to the packed programme of training sessions, there will be a welcome dinner at which former LET professional and British Women’s Open Champion, Marta Figueras-Dotti, will speak to the rookies. Also incorporated into the Orientation Days is a Pro-Am that will not only be an inspiring educational experience, but will also be a fantastic opportunity for some talented local girls to connect with the new professionals. The fresh partnership with the Dénia Marriott La Sella Golf Resort and Spa means that all attending will enjoy accommodation, food, access to all golf facilities and the gym and the opportunity to make new friendships. “We are very proud to welcome the best players in the world to La Sella,” said Mara Bañó. “I hope they understand its beauty. It is a technical course: the par threes are solid and par fours are tough, but there are holes where you can recover. The Olazábal signature course is certainly the most challenging in the area and will meet the challenges required by any golfer.” lasella3 About Hotel Dénia Marriott La Sella Golf Resort and Spa Hotel Dénia Marriott La Sella Golf Resort and Spa is located just a few minutes away from Dénia and Jávea, in the area of Alicante, and it is the only Resort in the area that has its own golf course; La Sella Golf, a course of 27 holes.
