LET RETURNS TO LONDON FOR START OF SUMMER STRETCH

The Ladies European Tour (LET) is back after a one-week hiatus and ready for a big run of tournaments in the summer stretch.

Centurion Club is the venue for this week’s Aramco Team Series presented by PIF – London – the third edition of the tournament.

It is the third of the five Team events across 2023 and this week will see a field of 108 professionals from 26 nations teeing it up.

The format is the same as in 2022 with two competitions happening side by side – the 54-hole Individual stroke play alongside the 36-hole Team event.

As before, each Team will consist of three professionals and one amateur with the Team captains decided on Monday 3rd July based upon the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings.

At the Draft, which will happen on Wednesday evening, the Team captains will pick in reverse order with the 36th-ranked captain picking first and the top-ranked captain picking last, while the third professional and amateur in each team are decided by random draw.

Defending champion Bronte Law returns to the scene of her second LET title after she secured victory with a monster eagle putt in 2022.

Law is also joined by compatriots Georgia Hall – who was runner-up in last year’s edition – and Charley Hull, who comes into this week off the back of a T2 finish at the U.S. Women’s Open.

World number two Nelly Korda is in town and she has had previous success in this format having won the Individual title in Sotogrande in 2022.

Seven of the top 10 in the 2023 Race to Costa del Sol are in attendance including leader Ana Peláez Triviño of Spain alongside Czechia’s Klara Davidson Spilková.

Recent LET winners Diksha Dagar (Tipsport Czech Ladies Open), Kristyna Napoleaova (Amundi German Masters), Lisa Pettersson (Helsingborg Open) and Patricia Isabel Schmidt (Belgian Ladies Open) will all be looking for more success.

South Africa’s Nicole Garcia was the winning Team captain in London last year and will be hoping to add another title at a venue that she likes.

While Northern Ireland’s Olivia Mehaffey and France’s Anne-Lise Caudal both played well at the last LET event in Finland to secure their spots this week.
