LET HEADS TO HILVERSUM FOR BIG GREEN EGG OPEN

A trip to the Netherlands is next up on the Ladies European Tour (LET) schedule as the circuit returns to Hilversumsche Golf Club for the Big Green Egg Open.

Back on hosting duties for the first time since the inaugural Dutch Ladies Open in 1986, the heathland course will welcome 126 players from 25 nations in a 54-hole stroke play tournament.

Located 30 minutes south of Amsterdam, the Harry Colt designed Hilversumsche Golf Club will provide a tight challenge for our players in the 22nd event of the LET season.

Offering a prize fund of €300,000, the winner of the Big Green Egg Open will be crowned on Sunday September 10.

Defending champion and Solheim Cup assistant playing captain Anna Nordqvist is back in town after winning by one shot at Rosendaelsche Golf Club in 2022.

The Swede is the highest ranked player in the field sitting 38th in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings.

Past champions Kylie Henry (2014) and Florentyna Parker (2010) are also in the field, while five-time LET winner Anne van Dam will be leading the home charge a week on from her runner-up finish at the KPMG Women’s Irish Open.

Six victors from this season will be teeing up in Hilversum, with Denmark’s Smilla Tarning Soenderby, Spain’s Nuria Iturrioz, Sweden’s Lisa Petterson, Germany’s Patricia Isabel Schmidt, England’s Lily May Humphreys and India’s Diksha Dagar all in the field – the latter the highest ranked player from this season’s Race to Costa Del Sol (third place).

No fewer than six Dutch players will be playing this week, with van Dam joined by Romy Meekers, Lauren Holmey, Pasqualle Coffa, and promising amateurs Rosanne Boere and Lynn Van Der Sluijs.
