The next stop in the 2024 Ladies European Tour (LET) calendar is this week’s Aramco Team Series presented by PIF – Shenzhen.
Mission Hills Resort in Shenzhen and specifically the World Cup Course will host this week’s tournament.
It is the fourth Aramco Team Series presented by PIF event of the year following Tampa in March, Korea in May and London in July.
The Team competition is 36 holes with the best two scores on each hole counting towards the team score. The Individual competition is a 54-hole stroke play with a cut to the top-60 professionals and ties after 36 holes.
There will be a field of 84 professionals from 23 nations teeing it up between October 4-6 vying for their share of $1,000,000 USD which is split between the Team and Individual competitions.
As with previous ATS events, 28 Team captains – who were decided based on their Rolex Women’s World Golf Ranking on 23 September – will pick one player and they will be joined by a randomly selected player, as well as an amateur.
There is a top field competing this week with China’s Ruoning Yin teeing it up in the competition for the first time and she is joined by China’s Xiyu Lin, who won the 2023 Aramco Team Series – Hong Kong, as well as Muni He.
American stars Angel Yin and Alison Lee, who both have LET titles to their name, will be playing this week as will European Solheim Cup stars Celine Boutier, Emily Kristine Pedersen and Anna Nordqvist.
Eight winners from the 2024 LET season will be teeing it up including Switzerland’s Chiara Tamburlini who captured her second LET title at last week’s Lacoste Ladies Open de France.
Thanks to her victory, Tamburlini extended her advantage at the top of the LET Order of Merit and Rookie of the Year rankings.
With 20 players from the CLPGA teeing it up, there is a strong home contingent with 12 Chinese players hoping for success on home soil.
The Aramco Team Series presented by PIF – Shenzhen takes place from 4-6 October on the World Cup Course at Mission Hills Resort.
