LET HEADS TO CARTON HOUSE FOR 2025 KPMG WOMEN’S IRISH OPEN

Next up for the Ladies European Tour (LET) is the KPMG Women’s Irish Open – the 14th stop on the 2025 schedule.

The LET continues its European swing heading to Dublin, and specifically the O’Meara Course at Carton House, A Fairmont Managed Hotel.

It is the second the time tournament, which returned to the schedule in 2022, will take place at Carton House having first visited in August 2024.

A field of 132 players representing 32 nationalities will be teeing it up in a 72-hole stroke play competition with a cut to the top 60 professionals and ties at the end of the second round.

There are two former champions in the field with Czechia’s Klara Davidson Spilkova and Denmark’s Smilla Tarning Soenderby both playing.

England’s Annabel Dimmock secured victory here last year defeating France’s Pauline Roussin-Bouchard in a playoff.

Although, the English star is not playing this week as she’s expecting her first child, the defending champion will be attending this weekend as a spectator.

There’s strong Irish representation in the field this week with a total of 16 players from the island of Ireland with 12 players flying the Irish flag and four representing Northern Ireland.

Leona Maguire – the first Irish winner on the LET – leads the home charge this week and she is also joined Olivia Mehaffey, Lauren Walsh, LET rookies Anna Foster, Sara Byrne, Annabel Wilson and Canice Screene, as well as nine amateurs.

A host of Maguire’s Solheim Cup teammates are in the field with 2026 European Solheim Cup captain Anna Nordqvist teeing it up alongside Sweden’s Madelene Sagström, as well as English duo Georgia Hall and Charley Hull.

Four winners from the 2025 LET season are vying for another title with Wales’ Darcey Harry, England’s Mimi Rhodes and Cara Gainer, and France’s Perrine Delacour all in town.

Rhodes, who has won three times in 2025, leads the LET Order of Merit and Rookie of the Year standings with 1,610.38 points.

The KPMG Women’s Irish Open takes place from Thursday 3 July until Sunday 6 July at Carton House in Maynooth, County Kildare.
