LET HEADS DOWN UNDER FOR 2026 AUSTRALIAN SWING

With the 2026 season now underway on the Ladies European Tour (LET), next up it’s a month-long trip to Australia for an exciting swing Down Under.

Four tournaments co-sanctioned with the WPGA Tour of Australasia will be taking place in February and March bringing together the very best of both tours.

The Ford Women’s NSW Open kicks things off on February 26th at Wollongong Golf Club just south of Sydney. Englishwoman Mimi Rhodes was victorious last time out breaking the course record en route to a two-shot victory.

This is followed by the Australian Women’s Classic beginning on March 5th at Magenta Shores Golf & Country Club. The beautiful links setting previously hosted the Ford Women’s NSW Open in 2024 where Colombia’s Mariajo Uribe claimed a famous win.

Both tournaments are 72-hole stroke play competitions featuring fields of 132 players and purses of AU$600,000.

After a fortnight in New South Wales the circuit heads to Adelaide for the Women’s Australian Open. The 2026 edition marks the tournament’s return to the LET schedule for the first time in a decade. A lucrative purse of AU$1,700,000 will be up for grabs in the third event Down Under.

Stars will be plentiful at Australia’s marquee women’s golf event which gets takes place at Kooyonga Golf Club between March 12-15. The four highest ranked Australian golfers have all committed to their national open with Minjee Lee, Grace Kim, Hannah Green and Stephanie Kyriacou teeing up on home soil. The quartet teamed up to win the Hanwha LIFEPLUS International Crown for Australia last October.

Order of Merit winner Shannon Tan from Singapore will also be present in Adelaide alongside an abundance of fellow LET winners including Casandra Alexander from South Africa, Sara Kouskova from Czech Republic, Anna Huang from Canada and Alexandra Försterling from Germany.

Last but not least it’s a trip to the Gold Coast for the Australian WPGA Championship at Sanctuary Cove Golf & Country Club. The event was cancelled in 2025 due to the impact of Cyclone Alfred meaning this year’s event will be the first time it is staged on the LET. The second edition of the Australian WPGA Championship takes place between 19-22 March and features a purse of AU$600,000.

Alongside the before-mentioned stars, several Australian LET members will be looking to put on a show for their home fans during the four-week swing. This includes Kirsten Rudgeley, Kelsey Bennett and Maddison Hinson-Tolchard, three players who all finished inside the top-35 on the 2025 LET Order of Merit, as well as Q-School graduates Justice Bosio and Stephanie Bunque.

Throughout the Australian stretch several off-course activities will also be taking place giving the stars of the LET an opportunity to embrace the Aussie experience. This includes visits to wildlife sanctuaries, beaches, and safari parks among others.
