After a week’s break following the Hero Women’s Indian Open, the Ladies European Tour (LET) heads to Taoyuan this week for the Wistron Ladies Open.
It is the sixth edition of the tournament and the second which is being co-sanctioned by both the LET and TLPGA, and is being held at Sunrise Golf & Country Club from 23 -26 October.
The course is known for its changing fairway slopes and fast greens; it became the venue of many high-profile international events such as the LPGA Taiwan Championship and the 2017 Taipei Summer Universiade.
The tournament will feature a 72-hole stroke play competition with a cut to the top 60 professionals and ties after 36 holes.
A total of 23 nationalities are represented in the 108-player field which is made up of 50 LET players, 40 TLPGA players and 18 invites.
Switzerland’s Chiara Tamburlini captured the title in 2024, earning her third LET victory during an impressive rookie season after finishing four shots clear of home favourite Yu-Sang Hou. The Swiss star returns to the field once again this week.
World No.11 Lottie Woad is in attendance this week, having accepted LET membership in July 2025, after winning the ISPS HANDA Women’s Scottish Open on her professional debut, and the KPMG Women’s Irish Open a couple of weeks prior as an amateur.
Five-time Major champion Yani Tseng leads the home charge as one of 40 players teeing it up on home soil in Taoyuan.
A total of 12 winners from the 2025 LET season are in attendance including Casandra Alexander (Tipsport Czech Ladies Open), Perrine Delacour (Investec SA Women’s Open), Laura Fünfstück (PIF London Championship), Cara Gainer (Lalla Meryem Cup), Darcey Harry (Hulencourt Women’s Open), Anna Huang (La Sella Open, Lacoste Ladies Open de France), Alice Hewson (VP Bank Swiss Ladies Open), Nuria Iturrioz (Aramco Houston Championship), Sara Kouskova (Jabra Ladies Open, Tenerife Women’s Open), Mimi Rhodes (Ford Women’s NSW Open, Joburg Ladies Open, Dutch Ladies Open), Shannon Tan (Amundi German Masters, Hero Women’s Indian Open), and Lottie Woad (KPMG Women’s Irish Open, ISPS HANDA Women’s Scottish Open).
With Tan’s recent victory in India, the Singaporean has climbed to the top of the Order of Merit standings with 2,368.95 points, edging just ahead of Rhodes. However, Rhodes still holds the lead in the Rookie of the Year race and is one of seven rookies competing in the field this week.
Of the 108 players in the field, there are 27 LET winners who have a combined total of 51 LET victories between them.
