LET BACK IN BEROUN FOR 2024 TIPSPORT CZECH LADIES OPEN

Royal Beroun Golf Club

The Ladies European Tour (LET) continues on its European swing with a stop in Czechia for the next tournament on the schedule.

Beroun, which is located southwest of Prague, is the host town of this week’s Tipsport Czech Ladies Open.

Royal Beroun Golf Club is the venue for the fifth time, having started to host the competition back in 2020.

The tournament will see 132 players teeing it up in a 54-hole stroke play format with a cut to the top 60 professionals and ties after 36 holes.

India’s Diksha Dagar is the defending champion this week having secured a three-stroke victory here last year.

Dagar, who sits 10th in the LET Order of Merit, won with rounds of 69-65-69 and will be hoping to replicate a similar performance in 2024.

Two winners from the 2024 season are teeing it up this week with Belgium’s Manon De Roey and Singapore’s Shannon Tan, who won the Investec SA Women’s Open and Magical Kenya Ladies Open, respectively.

There is plenty of home interest to talk about with 14 Czech players teeing it up in their home country.

Two-time LET winner Klara Davidson Spilkova finished in a tie for second place in 2022 and will be hoping to go one better in her homeland.

She is joined by Jana Melichova, who cemented her name in the history books in 2022 winning the tournament when she was still an amateur.

Fellow LET winner Kristyna Napoleaova is also in attendance alongside Sara Kouskova, who is aiming to go to the Paris Olympics.

It’s an important week in terms of the Olympics as it’s the last week to gain Rolex Women’s World Golf Ranking points with the qualification deadline being June 24.

The tournament, which is the 15th of the 2024 season, will take place from Friday Jun 21 until Sunday June 23 at Royal Beroun Golf Club.
