LET BACK AT CENTURION FOR ARAMCO TEAM SERIES – LONDON

The next stop in the 2024 Ladies European Tour (LET) calendar is this week’s Aramco Team Series presented by PIF – London.

Centurion Club has hosted every edition of the tournament, which was first played in 2021, and will see the fourth edition take place this week.

It is also the third Aramco Team Series presented by PIF event of the year following Tampa in March and Korea in May.

The Team competition is 36 holes with the best two scores on each hole counting towards the team score. The Individual competition is a 54-hole stroke play with a cut to the top-60 professionals and ties after 36 holes.

There will be a field of 108 professionals from 28 nations teeing it up between July 3-5 vying for their share of $1,000,000 USD which is split between the Team and Individual competitions.

As with previous ATS events, 36 Team captains – who were decided based on their Rolex Women’s World Golf Ranking on 24 June – will pick one player and they will be joined by a randomly selected player, as well as an amateur.

It is a stacked field in London with English superstars Charley Hull and Georgia Hall, both teeing it up.

Team Hall were the winners in 2023 with the Major winner captaining her team to success and she will be hoping for a repeat performance.

England’s Hull is the top-ranked name in the field as she sits eighth in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings, while she hasn’t finished outside of the top three in the three LET events she has played in 2024.

There are nine LET winners from this season ready to add another title to their collection at Centurion Club. They include Singapore’s Shannon Tan, Thailand’s Patty Tavatanakit, England’s Bronte Law, Colombia’s Mariajo Uribe, Switzerland’s Chiara Tamburlini, Belgium’s Manon De Roey, England’s Amy Taylor, Spain’s Marta Martin and England’s Alice Hewson.

Hewson comes into this week in fine form after winning last week’s VP Bank Swiss Ladies Open and has connections to Centurion.

Six members of the 2023 European Solheim Cup Team are also in town with Hall and Hull joined by Ireland’s Leona Maguire, Denmark’s Emily Kristine Pedersen and Swedish duo Anna Nordqvist and Caroline Hedwall.
