LEE CONTENT WITH PRE-QUALIFIER PERFORMANCE IN MOROCCO

Harang Lee

Harang Lee produced rounds of 69-74-67 to progress from the Pre-Qualifier at Palmerie Rotana and made it through to Final Stage of Lalla Aicha Q-School.

The Spanish player rolled in 12 birdies over the course of her three rounds in Morocco and her fantastic round of five-under on the final day.

That sealed her place in the Final Qualifier as she finished in a tie for seventh place and the 27-year-old was pleased with her week.

“It’s been a stressful week,” she said. “I’m out here with friends and the weather is great so I’m just trying to be very calm and enjoy my time out here.

“My game is solid right now, I’m content with what I’ve done this week. I’ve obviously made mistakes out there but going into finals I want to leave as many bogeys as possible out here in this first week and I’m ready to start the next campaign.”

Lee has spent much of 2023 playing on both the Ladies European Tour (LET) and LET Access Series (LETAS).

The Bilbao native recorded her best result of the year on LETAS after she ended the week in a share of fifth place at the PGA Championship Gothenburg.

But playing on both Tours is not easy and Lee admits it has been difficult to balance her schedule.

She explained: “Last year, finals were not great. I didn’t feel like I played that bad, but you know players out here are really good and you’ve just got to do the best you can.

“This season was too much; I mean it’s not very easy to play between LET and LETAS. A lot of people withdrew last minute on the LET and it was very stressful but at the same time I wanted the opportunity to go back there.

“I put pressure on me with reshuffles and it was not easy. I really did struggle out there but obviously I’m taking a lot of good and bad things. It’s a learning process.”
