The Ladies European Tour (LET) is currently in a summer break with 19 events having been completed in 2024.
Being over halfway through the schedule, the season-long competition to crown the LET’s number one play continues to simmer away with players looking to follow in the footsteps of Thailand’s Trichat Cheenglab.
With 19 tournaments having been played, 18 of them official and counting towards the Order of Merit, England’s Bronte Law still sits at the top of the standings.
The Solheim Cup winner added a third LET title to her palmarès at the start of the season with victory at the Lalla Meryem Cup.
Law followed that up with a third place in the Individual event at the Aramco Team Series presented by PIF – Tampa and second at the Women’s NSW Open.
Since then, the Englishwoman has had four further top-20 finishes which sees her still top of the tree with 1,279.23 points to her name.
Closely following behind is Belgium’s Manon De Roey, who now sits just 43.61 Law in second place in the rankings.
De Roey captured her second LET title at the Investec South African Women’s Open and has also performed consistently in the past two months with two top-10 and one top-20 finish.
In third place in the standings is Switzerland’s Chiara Tamburlini, who herself is only 85.79 behind Law in the Order of Merit.
The LET rookie, who won her maiden title at the Joburg Ladies Open, added more points with a share of second place at the Jabra Ladies Open, as well as a top 10 on home soil in Switzerland.
However, the Order of Merit is very tightly contested with just 250.18 points separating the top seven players.
A second-place finish from De Roey, Tamburlini, Germany’s Alexandra Försterling, England’s Alice Hewson, Singapore’s Shannon Tan or Spain’s Maria Hernandez would see them surge to the top of the standings.
With additional points on offer at the co-sanctioned Women’s Scottish Open and AIG Women’s Open, it’s still all to play for heading into a busy summer stretch.
