Bronte Law produced another great final round on the Ladies European Tour (LET) in Tampa to finish in third place.
The English star carded rounds of 69-72-67 to end the Individual event at the Aramco Team Series Presented by PIF – Tampa in outright third place on eight-under-par.
It came just two weeks after she secured her third LET title winning the Lalla Meryem Cup after a final round of 64.
That mentality on the final day of just going for it is something that Law spoke to Ian Woosnam about and something she plans to keep using.
“I played some good golf this week, but just didn’t really hole many putts,” she said. “My last round, the mindset that I’m having at the moment is where I’m just going for it.
“I had that message from Ian Woosnam this morning saying just go for everything, no one remembers who finishes second. I went for it, I had a couple of putts I knew I could have done with, but I kept pushing anyway.
“I knew it was playing tough. Some days they drop, some days they don’t. They dropped in Morocco, and I gave it as good of a chance as I could today. It’s always fun when you have a chance to have a go and it shows where I’m at, at the moment with my game, which is good.”
Thanks to her excellent start to the 2024 LET season, Law sits at the top of the Order of Merit with 738.75 points from her first four events.
The three-time LET winner heads to Australia for the next two events on the LET calendar but is hoping to build off of her solid start to the year.
She explained: “There was a couple of things that I wanted to work on, that I was noticing in my game in the second round. It’s difficult when it’s windy to judge that. I was pretty happy with how I hit it today, I will go and see my coach and go and work on those particular things.
“Overall, my confidence and mindset out there on the last day is what I’m going to keep continuing with and think that I can do better than what I’m doing now. That’s always a nice position to be in and one I will build on definitely for the remainder of the season.”
Law played alongside Major champion Sophia Popov and India’s Pranavi Urs in the Team event at Feather Sound Country Club.
It was Popov’s first time teeing it up competitively since the birth of her daughter last year, while Urs has had a good start to the season with one top-10, one top-20 and one top-25 finish, and Law had a great time playing alongside the duo.
She added: “It was amazing playing Sophia and I absolutely loved it. She’s a really good friend of mine and it was so good to see her back out again. It’s been a while, so nice seeing that friendly face and even better being able to play with her.
“Playing with Pranavi, I was really impressed with her, she is no doubt going to go on to do great things. It just shows where Indian golf is at the moment, there’s a lot of youngsters playing really good golf and that’s a testament to the efforts they have put in growing the game there and it’s obviously doing a great deal. I had a great time playing with both of them and continue to enjoy playing in these.”
