Following the end of the 2022 Ladies European Tour (LET) season, the Tour has headed to La Manga Club which will play host to the prestigious LET Qualifying School once again.
Last year American Gabriella Then scored top honours shooting a final round of 67 (-6) on the South Course to win the Final Qualifier by four shots.
While newly-crowned Race to Costa del Sol champion Linn Grant secured her card for 2022, as did LET winners from this season Meghan MacLaren, Ines Laklalech and Anne-Charlotte Mora.
Previous winners of Q-School at La Manga Club include Amy Boulden (2020) alongside Anna Nordqvist (2008), Caroline Masson (2009), Caroline Hedwall (2010) and Jodi Ewart-Shadoff (2011).
The North and South Courses will host the four-round Pre-Qualifying on December 10-13 and the five-round Final Stage on December 17-21.
Here’s what you need to know about this week’s Final Qualifier…
THE COURSES
North Course: It was designed by Robert Dean Putman in 1971. This is a technically more accessible course for players of all levels. Here you will find plenty of palm trees, lakes, and ravines.
South Course: It is considered to be one of the best courses in Spain. It was designed by Robert Dean Putman in 1971 and remodelled in 2005 by golfing legend, Arnold Palmer.
Running side by side and sharing a clubhouse, they promise to provide an electric atmosphere for those battling it out for a place on the 2023 Ladies European Tour.
WHO IS PLAYING
A field of 146 players representing 31 different countries will compete in the Final Qualifier. This includes:
- LET members ranked in the top 145 on the Race to Costa del Sol
- LETAS members ranked seven to 21 on the Order of Merit
- Leading player from each LETAS recognised tour
- Amateurs ranked within the Top 25 on the 2022 Women’s Amateur Golf Ranking
- Players qualifying for LPGA Q-Series in order of their Rolex Women’s World Golf Ranking
- Top five players from the top 80 and ties of the LPGA points list
- Top 2 players who enter from top 10 of the 2022 Epson Tour Ranking
- Top five players who enter from the top 100 on the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings
COMPETITION FORMAT
90 holes of stroke-play competition with a cut after 72 holes with top 60 and ties. For the first four rounds, competitors will alternate between the North and South courses. The fifth round will be played on the South Course.
WHAT THE PLAYERS RECEIVE
€10,000 and will be distributed to the top 5 competitors (provided they are professional players) as follows:
- 1st place: €5,000
- 2nd place: €2,500
- 3rd place: €1,250
- 4th place: €750
- 5th place: €500
If any of the above placings are tied, the prize money for the tied places will be aggregated and shared between the tied players.
Status received upon successful completion:
- Category 12: Qualifying-School Top 20 – Players finishing Nos. 1-20 (and ties)
- Category 16: #21-50 Qualifying-School – Players finishing Nos. 21-50 (and ties)
- Category 19: Remaining Final Qualifiers – Players finishing outside the Top 50 and ties
Any players who make the cut but finish outside the Top 50 and ties will be eligible for LET Membership in Category 19. Players who fail to make the cut after 72 holes will be eligible for LET Membership in Category 19. In all categories players will be ranked in final score order.

North Course: 35-36–71; 6,121/5,594 yards (par and yardage subject to change)
South Course: 37-36–73; 6,711/6,133 yards (par and yardage subject to change)
