Canada’s Anna Huang is having a dream Ladies European Tour (LET) rookie season at just 16-years-old.
Huang had a stellar September as she claimed both victories at the La Sella Open and the Lacoste Ladies Open de France, making her a two-time LET champion.
Despite missing the Hero Women’s Indian Open, Huang could win three LET titles back-to-back, as she prepares to tee it up this week at Sunrise Golf & Country Club in Taoyuan.
“To win three in a row would be really cool. I’m so grateful for two wins, but three would definitely be the cherry on top.”
Commenting on if she thought this year would ever go the way it has, she said: “Definitely not. It has been quite a surprise and a really big shock to me. I didn’t think I would win two times back-to-back, so it’s been crazy. It’s been such an exciting time and a big learning process for me.”
Throughout the year, Huang said she has struggled a lot with her putting, and switched to a new putter the week of the Aramco Houston Championship in September. “I think that changed everything, and that really helped my putting get a lot better.”
The Canadian now sits in tenth place in the LET Order of Merit, with only three tournaments remaining of the 2025 season.
The two-time LET winner continues to have her Dad on the bag. She continued: “I think ever since I started playing, he’s been my caddie and also coach. He definitely knows my game the best out of everyone I know. I think we do sometimes argue a little bit here and there, but we work very good as a team.
“It’s really nice to have my family with me because I think being 16 [years-old] and playing on Tour can get pretty stressful sometimes. There are so many things I have to manage and work on so just having support with me is great.”

Looking ahead into this week, she said: “I think with this weather, it’s all about staying patient out there. Just with the wind, it could get pretty crazy. We just need to stick to smart decisions on the course.
“The golf courses are always pretty different over here compared to Europe. Growing up in Vancouver, I think European style golf courses suit my game more as it’s a pretty similar climate, but we’ll see what happens this week.”
Huang is not putting any pressure on herself for the last month of the season. “It would be great to get another win, but I try not to think too far ahead”, she continued. “I’m just taking one tournament at a time and see how things go.
“After winning in Spain and France, it’s given me a lot of confidence for the last events of the season, so I’m just really excited.”
After her second LET win at the Lacoste Ladies Open de France, Huang went to Beijing to see family.
“It was so nice to see some of my uncles and cousins because I don’t think I’ve seen them for like 10 years. I then flew to Shanghai for some golf practice, and arrived here Monday.”
Off the course, the teen is currently studying English, Maths, Chemistry, Spanish, and Psychology with Pearson Online Academy, based out of Maryland in the US. “It’s quite funny because right before this interview, I actually just did a Maths test. I think I got 29 out of 32, so I’m pretty happy with that.”
The Canadian kicks off round one at 7:20am (local time) on Thursday alongside Chinese Taipei’s Teresa Lu and Li-Ning Wang.
