Australian Whitney Hillier aced the 171-yard par-3 17th hole in round two of the Estrella Damm Mediterranean Ladies Open, using a 5-iron, to spring into contention.
The ace on her 10th hole of the day made Hillier four-under-par for her round and she then added a further birdie on the second to be five-under after 13 holes.
Premiership referee Mike Dean is her caddie this week and they celebrated with high fives.

Whitney said: “I hit a really solid 5-iron. It looked good all the way but I couldn’t see it. I had to wait until the cameraman put his hand up and then I could celebrate.
“I had Mike on the bag today and we agreed on the club: 5-iron was perfect. We are really good friends and he asked if I wanted a caddie for the week and I said, why not? He’s a great guy and we’ve had a lot of fun.”
