HENNI ZUEL GIVES BACK

Former Ladies European Tour player and now Sky presenter, Henni Zuel, demonstrated her commitment to ‘giving back’ when she gave up some of her time in support of the Golf Foundation – the grass roots junior golf charity that is committed to giving ALL children and young people the opportunity to experience golf and the benefits it has to offer.

The opportunity to play a round of golf with Henni was one of the main items in the auction at Golf Foundation’s Pro-Am (held in IMG_20170322_203710_296October 2016) and this was secured by Ian Pattinson, who has previously provided broadcasters with information about rulings during tournaments such as The Open on behalf of the R&A. The Golf Foundation’s Pro-Am exists to raise much-needed funds for the charity and, in recent years, a number of LET players have taken part in the event.

Ian and his two playing partners joined Henni at Woburn to play the impressive Dukes Course. Although heavy rain had hung over Woburn in the morning, the clouds cleared away just before the afternoon tee time so that the group could enjoy the wonderful experience of playing a course that has hosted a number of professional events including the Ricoh Women’s British Open.

Henni has a historical connection with the Golf Foundation as she competed in the Age Group Championship competition that the Golf Foundation used to organise, so she was more than happy to give back to such a worthy cause. Mike Round, Director of Development for the Ladies European Tour commented: “LET’s Give Back is one of the elements of the Ladies European Tour’s development strategy which encourages current and former players to lend their support to charities and other good causes. We’re so grateful to Henni for the commitment she showed for the benefit of the Golf Foundation.”
